The Landscape Atelier Curriculum

Our online classes offer a full curriculum of classes covering foundational topics such as drawing, values, composition, and color, as well as intermediate classes, which are focused on painting particular elements in the landscape, like skies, water, and trees. We also more advanced classes that include indirect painting techniques and Creative Development.

Students may choose between Full Access classes which are taught at specific times and include instructor feedback and live Zoom classes and On Demand classes which may be taken at any time.


Our Course Types

  • Creative Development

    Rather than technique or “how to,” these courses are designed to enhance the student’s understanding of their own authentic voice and to explore ways to grow as a landscape painter. They include written content, videos, and live zoom sessions (both individual and group).

  • Full Access

    These courses include written content and videos. Full Access courses also include a student community where you can post your work for one-on-one feedback, ask questions and interact with others in the class. There are 2-3 live Zooms sessions (recorded).

  • On Demand

    These courses are self-directed study courses that include written content and videos. The content and videos are the same as those in the Full Access courses. Students may work through the lessons at their own pace.

Our Cancellation Policy

Full Access and Creative Development Courses

If after registering for an online class and before the class begins and before you have accessed the class, you advise us that you are unable to participate, you will receive a full refund, less an administrative fee of $50 plus applicable PayPal or other payment processor fees or you may transfer your registration to another class of like value. However, once you have logged into the class and/or the class has begun, there are no refunds.

If you have purchased multiple classes at the same time and received a discount, refunds are handled as follows. You will receive a refund for classes not yet started and accessed by you. The refund will be the amount you paid for the classes not accessed, minus a $50 administrative fee, any applicable PayPal or other payment processor fees, and the applicable discounted amount for classes already accessed.

On Demand Courses

If after registering for an online class and before you have accessed the class, you advise us that you want a refund, you will receive a full refund, less an administrative fee of $50 plus applicable PayPal or other payment processor fees or you may transfer your registration to another class of like value. Once you have logged into the class, there are no refunds.
